Penetration Grade Bitumen
Penetration Grade Bitumen (Asphalt)
Penetration Grade Bitumen is a standard bitumen usually essential for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties. Once it bounds, the aggregates create a unique cohesion and stability to the bitumen.
- This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.
- Bitumen 60/70 is usually produced from crude petroleum oil and used to manufacture asphalt mixes, bitumen emulsion, cut-back bitumen, and modified bitumen.
Highest Boiling Point
Thermoplastic properties causes the material to soften at high temperatures.
Very Heavy
The heavy insoluble asphaltite molecules make it bulky in weight.
Polar Fraction
Bitumen P.G has the most polar fraction extracted from the vacuum distillation of crude oil.
